Välinge licensed click furniture technology to a furniture manufacturer in Netherlands

Välinge signed a license agreement with Flens BV from the Netherlands for the use of Threespine® click furniture technology. According to the announcement, Flens BV is currently going through a short period of adjusting the machinery in its Dutch factory. The first products with Threespine are scheduled to reach the market in the second half of 2017.

Flens BV has a long history of manufacturing semi-finished and finished products for cabinets and beds as well as complete interiors for the project market. By implementing Threespine click furniture technology, the company expects to enhance its customer proposition with fast and easy assembly materials as well as improved designs with thin and strong boards that will be connected without visible fittings.

Marc Flens, Flens BV CEO, commented:

“We are always thinking and planning far ahead. Threespine offers us the right technology to match interior and project trends with our company’s proposition: furniture on demand made from strong and sustainable materials, easy assembly and clean designs.”

Threespine® implements a clean design in furniture that can be assembled and dismantled many times. The locking function resides in the flexible plastic tongue, making the technology suitable for all materials that can be machined to a profile, such as particle board, HDF, MDF, CDF, plywood, solid wood, plastic, WPC, HPL etc.

Earlier Välinge licensed 2G and 5G locking systems for WPC and LVT/SPC flooring products to Jiangyin Funuo New Decoration Materials from China.
