Stora Enso completed reorganization of Kvarnsveden Mill in Sweden

Stora Enso concluded co-determination negotiations regarding a plan to reorganise the mill with employees at its Kvarnsveden Mill in Sweden announced in February 2017. According to the announcement, PM8 was permanently shut down in June, the impact of the reorganisation and PM8 closure was mitigated through individual solutions, such as early retirement.

The PM8 had a capacity of 100ktpa of super-calendered uncoated magazine paper (SC). Production at Kvarnsveden Mill continues on two lines, PM10 for improved newsprint paper and PM12 for SC papers.

Earlier Stora Enso signed an agreement to divest its 35% holding in the equity accounted investment Bulleh Shah Packaging Ltd. (BSP) to the main owner Packages Ltd.
