Roseburg Forest Products appointed Eric Geyer as Director of Strategic Business Development and External Affairs. In his new role, Mr. Geyer will work closely with the company’s executive team and individual business leaders to coordinate the development, communication and execution of the company’s strategic plan. He will continue to report to Scott Folk, Senior Vice President of Resources.
Eric Geyer joined Roseburg as a field forester in 1999 and has progressively worked his way up through the resource group over the last 18 years. Most recently, Mr. Geyer was instrumental in leading and coordinating the company’s efforts to identify the optimal location and negotiate the land purchase and financial incentives for Roseburg’s new engineered wood products plant in Chester, S.C.
Earlier Roseburg sold thermally fused melamine laminates producing plant in the US
The company is one of North America’s leading producers of particleboard and thermally fused laminates. It also manufactures softwood and hardwood plywood, lumber, LVL and I-joists. Roseburg owns 630,000 acres of timberland in Oregon and Northern California. Its products are shipped throughout North America and the Pacific Rim.
