Metsä Wood started production at its new Kerto® laminated veneer lumber (LVL) line in Lohja mill in Finaland. The new line increases the mill’s production capacity by 20,000 m3 per year. to 120,000 m3. The new line is expected to reach full capacity within one year.

At the Lohja mill, three Kerto LVL production lines were operating until the end of 2016. With the investment, one of the old lines has been dismantled and another old line is being run down by the end of 2017.

The investment is part of the EUR 100 million investment program Metsä Wood published in June 2016. The programme is carried out during 2017-2018.
