Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill implements waste paper standards harmonized with the European Norms in Ukraine

Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill (CPM) will switch to the classification of waste paper in accordance with the European norms. According to the announcement, from October 1, 2017 in accordance with the decree of UkrNDNC No.323 dated October 7 2016 Ukraine introduces DSTU EN 643: 2016 “Paper and cardboard: the European list of standard grades of paper and paperboard for recycling.”

The standard DSTU EN 643 is fully harmonized with the European standards.

Earlier Kyiv CPM signed a contract with Bellmer for an upgrade of a coater machine at its mill in Ukraine.

The company is one of the largest European producers of cardboard and paper products. The plant is located in Obukhiv city (Kyiv region) on the area of around 99 ha, employing about 2200 people. It is a part of the Austrian Pulp Mill Holding.
