Construction of a new CLT-based building is almost finished in the Düsseldorf city center

Construction on a new pavilion at Martin-Luther-Platz of Düsseldorf, Germany is close to completion. All outer panels of the building, designed by Molestina Architekten are already in place. The project is scheduled for finalization till the end of 2017.

The location of the project is at the beginning of the new city center of Düsseldorf. Nearly 1,000 open-air spaces will be available, and the pavilion offers space for around 830 people. At the north end of the building there is a new avenue with its 160 plane trees.

The modern building is using glass, steel and wood (CLT) as main structural materials.
