Boise Cascade increased EBITDA margin to 5.5% in 2Q2017

In 2Q2017 Boise Cascade Company reported 10% increase of Adjusted EBITDA amid 9% growth of sales y-o-y. According to the announcement, the company’s sales accounted for USD 1,138.9 million, generating Adjusted EBITDA of USD 62.1 million in the period (5.5% margin).

Tom Corrick, CEO of Boise Cascade, commented:

Distribution enjoyed another strong quarter, with solid volume growth across product lines and excellent execution during a volatile commodity price environment. Wood Products results were slightly lower than the prior year quarter, as plywood pricing improvements were offset by lower EWP price realizations and input cost pressures. However, I am optimistic for the second half of the year as we make further progress on our operational improvement opportunities and see the impact of our EWP price increase. The tone in the marketplace is positive and we are seeing renewed strength in commodity prices as we begin the third quarter.”

In 1Q2017  Boise Cascade reported 40% increase of Adjusted EBITDA amid 11% growth of sales y-o-y.
