Thai Paper upgrades its pulp mill in Thailand

Thai Paper is upgrading wet lap plant at the company’s Wangsala pulp mill in Kanchanaburi, Thailand. The company placed an order with the international technology group Andritz for the major components of 2.4 m wide Andritz  twin wire press, installed in 1990 and used in a wet lap application . Start-up is scheduled for July 2017.

According to the announcement, Andritz will provide rebuild to floating wedge zone, grooved stainless steel pre-press rolls, newly designed split press roll system, pressure loading device for the drive rolls, new drive system.

The technology provider will also comprises erection work supervision and start-up of the plant.

Earlier SCG Paper inaugurated a new container board production line in Thailand.
