Rentech made USD 5.4 million EBITDA loss in 4Q2016

Rentech Inc,  which  owns and operates wood fibre processing and wood pellet production facilities, reported 8.4% decrease of revenues and improvement of negative Consolidated Adjusted EBITDA loss in 4Q2016 y-o-y. According to the announcement, the company’s revenues accounted for USD 37.7 million, generating Consolidated Adjusted EBITDA of negative USD (5.4) million.

For the complete 2016 the company’s net sales accounted USD 150.7 million, generating USD (22.2) million Consolidated Adjusted EBITDA loss.

The consolidated results consist of Fulghum Fibres (Fulghum), New England Wood Pellet (NEWP), Industrial Wood Pellets, which includes its Canadian pellet plants, and unallocated corporate expenses. The former Rentech Nitrogen Pasadena and East Dubuque facilities are classified as discontinued operations.

In 3Q2016 Rentech reported decrease of consolidated revenues from continuing operations for the third quarter of 2016 from USD 42.8 million (3Q2015) to USD 38.6 million.
