Copelme establishes a new tissue plant in Bolivia

Copelme S.A. invests into a new tissue machine at a newly established industrial park in Santa Cruz de la Sierra in Bolivia.

According to the announcement, the company placed an order with GapCon tissue S.r.l. (part of PAPCEL Group) for a machine with width on reel 2,760 mm, and operating speed 1,600 mpm. The new tissue machine start-up is scheduled for mid-2018.

GapCon will supply an advanced tissue machine technology with Crescent Former, including stock preparation line and complete auxiliary systems such as boiler house, compressed air system, overhead cranes and mill electrification. The machine capacity is 85 tpd (toilet paper, napkins and kitchen towels). The GapCon is delivering “turn-key” also being  a general contractor in this project, providing complete engineering services and delivering all  accessories, mill site transportation and on-site mechanical and electrical erection.
